n. An alcohol, CH2 = C(CH3) (CH2)3CH(CH3)CH2CH2OH, found in its levogyrate form in rose-oil, pelargonium-oil, and geranium-oil. It is also formed by the reduction of citronellal. It boils at 117–118° C. under 17 millimeters.
